Faridabad Tragedy: 42-Year-Old Man Drowns After Car Falls into Open Drain

A 42-year-old security supervisor named Yogesh tragically drowned after his car plunged into an open drain. The accident occurred late Monday night in Faridabad, as he tried to avoid an oncoming auto rickshaw, according to police reports. The incident took place near the Naveen Nagar police chowki.

Man Drowns in Faridabad Drain Accident

Yogesh, who lived in Dabua Colony, was returning home from his job in Noida Sector 63 when the accident happened around 11 pm. In an attempt to dodge the auto rickshaw, he swerved and fell into a drain that was difficult to see in the dark. Despite efforts to rescue him, he did not survive.

Family's Allegations and Response

The family of Yogesh has expressed anger over the actions of bystanders at the scene. They claimed that instead of helping, people were occupied with recording videos. They believe Yogesh could have been saved if timely assistance had been provided. He leaves behind his wife Suman and their two daughters.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team arrived at the location. They called for a crane to retrieve the submerged vehicle. Unfortunately, by the time they managed to extract the car, Yogesh had already passed away.

Official Procedures and Aftermath

The police have completed the necessary formalities following the tragic event. After conducting a post-mortem examination on Tuesday, they handed over Yogesh's body to his family members. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and emergency response in the area.
