The wedding was planned to take place at a nearby venue. However, as the procession moved with DJ music, upper-caste men allegedly attacked with sticks and batons. This assault prevented any rituals from occurring at the intended venue. "The entire ceremony had to be shifted and conducted at our home instead," Anita mentioned in her complaint.

Investigation Underway

Assistant Commissioner of Police P K Rai confirmed that those injured are receiving medical treatment. "A case has been registered and further investigation is underway," he stated. An FIR has been lodged against nine identified individuals and 20 others who remain unidentified in connection with the attack.
