Chandigarh: Woman accused who filmed students was dating Army man
New Delhi, Sep 27: Army man Sanjeev Singh arrested from Arunachal Pradesh in connection with the Chandigarh University MMS scandal was in love with the student who was allegedly making videos of women showering in their hostels.

Investigations by the Mohali police revealed that Singh had met the accused on the social media and exchanged their mobile numbers. An India Today TV report however added that it is not known if the accused had also shared the videos with Singh. The police found two phones on Sanjeev.
The police found that when the accused MBA student was being questioned by the hostel manager, someone was constantly texting her. Later it was found that she was chatting with Singh on WhatsApp.
The transcript showed that the accused was under pressure to film the videos.
She also told Singh that he had put her in an embarrassing situation by asking for the photos and videos since she got caught clicking the same.
On September 18 protests erupted inside the Chandigarh University campus after students alleged that their private and objectionable videos were leaked on the internet. The Punjab Police has so far arrested four persons in connection with the case.
