Nearly 9.9 lakh students appeared for Telangana Inter exams

According to TGBIE data, approximately 9.9 lakh students appeared for the Telangana Intermediate 1st Year and 2nd Year examinations this year. The board held the exams from February 26 to March 18 across the state in a single shift from 9 am to 12 noon.

The result declaration was one of the most anticipated academic updates in Telangana this month, as lakhs of students and parents had been closely tracking the announcement timeline. Earlier updates had indicated that the results would be declared at 11 am, and the board has now officially released them.

In a new move this year, students can also check their Telangana Inter Result 2026 through WhatsApp, a facility introduced by the Telangana Inter Board for the first time, as reported by The Times of India. This is expected to make the result-checking process easier for students who may face heavy traffic on the official website.

Due to the large number of students trying to access their scores immediately after release, the official portal may experience temporary slowdowns. In such cases, students are advised to wait for a few minutes and try again.

No individual toppers list likely this year

As in recent years, the Telangana board is not expected to publish the names of individual toppers. According to The Indian Express, the TGBIE has stopped releasing individual topper names as a conscious step to discourage unhealthy academic competition.

However, the board may still share category-wise and stream-wise topper statistics, even if individual student names are not announced publicly.
