#FactCheck: CBSE Scraps Rumors Of Postponing Class 12 Board Exams Due To Farmers' Protests
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a resolute rebuttal against a forged letter circulating widely on social media platforms, falsely asserting that the Class 12 board examinations stand postponed due to the ongoing farmers' protest.
In an official statement, the Board has emphatically discredited these groundless speculations, denouncing the viral letter as spurious and deceptive. The dissemination of this fabricated document triggered unnecessary alarm among students and parents, prompting CBSE to intervene decisively and rectify the misinformation.

The counterfeit letter purportedly appears as an official communique from the examination controller, purportedly directed towards all principals and heads of institutions affiliated with CBSE. It asserts that purportedly citing distress arising from the farmers' protest, the Class 12 board exams have been purportedly deferred indefinitely. Furthermore, the fraudulent communication even delineates procedures for soliciting alterations in examination schedules and centers.
The dissemination of such deceitful information led CBSE to issue an official clarification to quash these spurious claims promptly. The Board adamantly refuted any notion of exam postponement, reaffirming the scheduled examination dates. Moreover, CBSE advised students and parents to disregard the unsubstantiated assertions propagated by the fraudulent letter.
This incident underscores the perils of misinformation proliferating through social media channels, particularly in sensitive contexts such as educational assessments. CBSE's swift response highlights the importance of vigilance and factual verification in countering false narratives and assuring the integrity of educational processes.
The examination board has also issued an advisory to parents and students to reach the exam centres early, to avoid any last-minute hustle.
