Is Abhishek Bachchan Staying With Parents In 'Jalsa' Or Separately With Aishwarya Rai?

For months, there have been reports about trouble in Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's marriage. Despite their public appearances together, rumors of a strained relationship have persisted.

In December 2023, Times Now reported that Aishwarya had moved out of the Bachchan residence and was dividing her time between her mother's home and a separate, distinct section within the Bachchan residence, maintaining a separate space from her in-laws.

A recent viral video, however, offers some clarity on the matter regarding Aishwarya's departure from the Bachchan residence, "Jalsa."

A Reddit user shared an old video featuring Abhishek Bachchan during the promotion of the 2018 film Manmarziyaan. In the video, an interviewer asked Vicky Kaushal about Abhishek's residence, posing the question, "Abhishek ke ghar ka naam kya hai?" Kaushal, excited, attempted to guess the answer, eventually saying "Jalsa."

Abhishek then corrected him, stating, "The answer is wrong. Jalsa is where my parents live. I actually stay in Vatsa, which is next door."

This clarification from Abhishek has put to rest some of the speculations regarding Aishwarya's living situation and the alleged issues at the Bachchan residence.

The Controversial 'Like'

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan gave a fodder to rumour mongers after 'liking' a social media post around divorce.

For those unaware, the social media post that Abhishek liked explored the topic "Why love stops being easy," discussing why long-married couples are now parting ways and the rise of grey divorces. The post noted, "Divorce is never easy for anyone. Who doesn't dream of a happily ever after or envision recreating those heartwarming videos of elderly couples holding hands as they cross the street?"

Heena Khandelwal, the author of the article, issued a statement after his 'like' garnered huge attention. "I am not familiar with his personal life, but it seems his single like on the post has been blown out of proportion. While he certainly doesn't need me to defend him, I feel a bit disheartened that my Instagram story highlighting his like has contributed to this situation."

She added, "For your information, this post has garnered as many saves and shares as likes. Many people, including those who did not like or comment on the post, have reached out to me to express their appreciation for both the story and its subject matter. This response is quite telling."
