Comedy Khiladigalu Fame Chandrashekhar Siddhi Dies By Suicide At 28

Chandrashekhar Siddhi, who came to the limelight with Zee Kannada's hit reality show Comedy Khiladigalu, tragically ended his life by suicide on August 1. The 28-year-old artist, hailing from Chimanalli village in Yellapur taluk, was found hanging in a forest near Kattige village, according to reports.

Struggle with Depression & Lack of Opportunities

Chandrashekhar, who rose to fame through Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3 (2020), had been battling depression due to a lack of career opportunities post the show. Despite gaining recognition and appearing in a few TV serials, he struggled to sustain his acting career and recently worked as a daily wage labourer.

Family members revealed that he had been under severe mental distress for the past three months. His wife, who was with him on the day of the incident, was left in shock after discovering his body.

Theatre Background & Unfulfilled Dreams

A trained actor from the renowned Ninasam Theatre Institute, Chandrashekhar was passionate about performing arts. However, the lack of work in the entertainment industry reportedly pushed him into despair.

Rakesh Poojary's Death

This incident comes just months after the sudden demise of Rakesh Poojary, winner of Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, who died of a heart attack earlier this year. Poojary, who also acted in Kantara: Chapter 1, had left fans grieving, and now Chandrashekhar's death has added to the sorrow.

Police Investigation & Condolences

Yellapur Police have registered a case and are investigating further. Meanwhile, fellow artists, fans, and the Kannada entertainment industry have expressed deep grief over the tragic loss.
