Allu Aravind Reacts To Controversy Over Alleged Insults to Kannada Actors At Santosham Awards
Leading producer Allu Aravind has distanced himself from the controversy around the Santosham Awards as the Kannada film personalities have accused the organisers of insulting them at the event in Goa.
'Certain reports had linked him with the main organiser Suresh Kondeti. The former, on occasions, had claimed to be a PR of the 'Mega Family'.

He identifies as a producer, distributor, journalist, editor, and publisher of Santosham Weekly Magazine. Additionally, he holds the positions of Chairman of Santosham Film Awards, Mega PRO, and MAA EC Member.
"Some news reports even claimed that Suresh Kondeti is a PRO to one of our family's stars. But he is not PRO to any star in mega family. His failure to administer the Awards in a smooth manner is completely his fault, and has nothing to do with the Telugu cinema industry," Allu Aravind said.
Aravind also claimed that "mistakes" do happen.
Kannada film personalities including noted actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind was reportedly humiliated at Santosham South Indian Film Awards 2023.
The organisers insulted Ramesh Aravind by switching off lights when he took stage and the event came to an abrupt end, as per a tweet posted by journalist A Sharadhaa. The awards ceremony was held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa.
Only a single award each was presented to the 'Kranti' and 'Veda' teams. As Ramesh Aravind took the stage, the organizers reportedly switched off the lights, leading the anchor to exit and instructing Kannada actors to leave.
If it was not enough, those who attended the event found themselves without arranged accommodations. Ramesh Aravind, B Suresha, Shylaja Nag, Vani Harikrishna, A Harsha and Ragini Dwivedi along with other film personalities encountered challenges during the hotel check-out process.
Organizers had not settled the bills and had locked the rooms. However, the police intervention became necessary for them to finally depart for the airport.
