On Sunday, the Congress leader will address the first women-only rally at Tumkur. The idea behind holding an all-women rally originated from the Gandhi scion's focus on women empowerment and special focus on them ahead of the general polls due in two months, said sources in the Congress.

The Congress vice-president recently held a meeting with women in Bhopal to know their views on the party's manifesto ahead of the elections.

Rahul Gandhi is set to tour across the nation in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and other states in weeks to come, it was learnt.
