Karnataka Weather Alert: Warm February for Bengaluru? IMD Predicts Dry Days Until February 14

The winter season may not officially be over, but Bengaluru and several parts of Karnataka have been experiencing a noticeable rise in temperature over the past few days. The maximum temperature in Bengaluru has been hovering around 32°C for the last two days, marking a warm spell even before winter bids farewell.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dry weather is expected to persist across the state for the next week, with no significant rainfall predicted until February 14. On Wednesday, Bagalkot and Vijayapura recorded the highest temperatures in the state at 37.4°C.

Other regions, including Gadag, Haveri, and Koppal, saw maximum temperatures of 35.5°C. Meanwhile, in Bengaluru city, the mercury touched 31.9°C, while Kempegowda International Airport recorded 32.5°C, and HAL Airport saw 31.2°C.

IMD Forecast for Karnataka:

February 8-13: Dry weather is expected to prevail across the state. Fog or mist may occur in isolated areas over South Interior Karnataka in the early morning hours.
Temperature Trends: Maximum temperatures are likely to be 2-4°C above normal, while no significant change is expected in minimum temperatures.

Next 24 hours: Mainly clear skies with fog/mist in some areas during early morning hours. Maximum and minimum temperatures will likely be around 32°C and 16°C.
Next 48 hours: Similar conditions will continue, with mainly clear skies and early morning fog/mist.

With temperatures rising steadily, Bengaluru and the rest of Karnataka are likely to see warmer-than-usual days ahead. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat exposure, as the city gears up for an early onset of summer-like conditions.
