The state of Karnataka including Bengaluru is bracing for an extended period of wet weather as the Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall across various regions, particularly in the coastal and southern hinterland areas. From today, Nov. 4, and for the next three weeks, the entire state is expected to experience consistent rainfall.

Karnataka Weather Alert: Rains To Continue In Coastal Areas, Bengaluru Till November 9

The key factor contributing to this extended rainy spell is the increased moisture content in the eastward-blowing winds. As a result, districts such as Mandya, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar are expected to receive precipitation until November 9.

Cloudy weather conditions are expected in various districts, including Mangalore, Shimoga, Belgaum, Udupi, Davangere, and Chitradurga. Additionally, an alert has been issued for specific districts as the possibility of more than usual rainfall looms.

In Bengaluru, the weather is likely to remain overcast on November 5, with intermittent light rain or thundershowers expected during the evening and night. Morning fog may affect some areas. Temperature-wise, the maximum is forecasted to reach around 30 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius.

Over the next 48 hours, the maximum temperature is projected to rise by approximately 2 degrees Celsius above normal in many northern interior regions and a few parts of the southern inland and coastal areas. Additionally, some inland and coastal areas may experience minimum temperatures around 2 degrees Celsius above the average.

As the state prepares for an extended period of rainfall, residents are advised to stay informed about local weather updates and take necessary precautions to stay safe.
