Bengaluru Booms: Shops To Stay Open Till 1 Am, Boosting Nightlife And Economy

In a move set to boost trade and commerce, shops and establishments in Bengaluru and ten other corporation areas are set to extend their operating hours till 1 am. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during his budget speech on Friday, following a series of requests from various trade bodies, including the hoteliers association.

"We have conceptualized Brand Bengaluru to develop the city into a world-class destination. This move to extend business hours is one of the major reforms we have introduced to improve the quality of life for the people and to attract investors," Siddaramaiah stated.
