Mumbai Horror: Father strips, molests 15-year-old daughter, arrested

, Sept 3: Despite her mother's objection, a 15-year-old girl in Mumbai showed daring of filing a

complaint against her father. The girl claimed that her father had stripped and molested her.

Mumbai Police arrested the accused who has has been booked under several sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) -- section 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt).

Speaking about the case, Mumbai assistant Commissioner of police Vasant Tajne was quoted as saying, "The accused was arrested following medical tests. He will be produced before the Mulund metropolitan magistrate court on Tuesday, Sept 3."

He then brutally bit me all over my back

Another police official was quoted as saying, "The mother, who was regularly subjected to her husband's beatings, was too scared to even confront him about such a brutal beating."

"She, in fact, asked her daughter to let it go. But the girl was adamant and wanted her father to be punished. She approached a political party and accompanied by its activists, visited us and registered a complaint against the alcoholic father," added the official.

According to the complaint, the accused, who is an alcoholic, had a fight with his neighbours. He had asked for help but was disappointed when his daughter refused to do so.

The police official also informed, "Since her father's fights were a constant nuisance for the locality, she refused to help him. Unable to bear the rebuff, he rushed home after the fight got over and began thrashing her."

A part of the complaint says, "When he got tired of hitting me, he stripped me to humiliate me further. He then brutally bit me all over my back."
