SP leader Naresh Agarwal says women must pay attention to clothes
Mumbai, Aug 24: As massive outrage and protests continues in the country against the Mumbai gangrape case, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal's insensitive comment on the case has shocked and angered many.
Agarwal questioned the way women dressed and said that women "must pay attention to what they wear." He blamed the television and said that they (women) must not be influenced by the television and must be careful about their clothes to curb rape incidents in the country.

The sexist remark drew flak from the public and other political figures who said that Agarwal should not have made such comments.
Actor and politician Raj Babbar criticised Agarwal for his comment and said: "Those who do not know about their own culture should not make such comments."
