Boy falls into well while running away from elephants, dies

Salem (TN), July 31: Running away from a herd of

cost a 17-year-old boy his life as he slipped into a well and drowned at Kalpaganoor, police said.

They said that the villagers and forest officials were trying to chase away the elephants, which entered the fields foraging for food last night when the animals suddenly started moving towards them. In the melee, the 10th standard student fell into an agricultural well and drowned, they said.
