Gaddafi's weapons dumped fearing al-Qaeda using them

"These are a major concern. We don't want al-Qaeda using them against British troops in Afghanistan," said an MoD spokesperson.
Mustafa Faroom, a rebel fighter described the pile as 'a sea of rockets" adding that Gaddafi was mad, reported The Sun.
Gaddafi's vile arsenal weapons were unearthed following his death. Among the weapons, ten deadly tons of mustard gas were also recovered.
The stockpile of arms also proved that Muammar Gaddafi violated the 2004 deal with the UK that he would destroy most of his weapons of mass destruction.
Gaddafi was killed near his hometown in Sirte by NATO. His son and the Defence Minister were also killed in the fight. All three were buried on Tuesday, Oct 25 in an undisclosed location in the Libyan desert.
