Portfolio reallocation on the card in Meghalaya

Shillong, Feb 18 (PTI) Portfolio reshuffling is on thecards in Meghalaya to inculcate a ''''balance inresponsibility'''' in the Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA)government without the induction of new faces, officialsources said here today.

Sources close to Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, who is inNew Delhi, said the proposed reshuffle was awaiting theCongress High Command''s nod.

However, they did not disclose the details of the list.

''''The reshuffling exercise is a mark of commitment ofthe Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA) government to the peopleof the state and to streamline the delivery mechanism,� hesaid.

�The portfolio reallocation is an effort to give thestate cabinet a balance of responsibility. It is a normal androutine process exercised by the chief minister. No new faceswould be roped in,� the sources added.
