JMM supporter killed by Maoists
Jhargram (WB), Feb 14 (PTI) A JMM supporter was killedby suspected Maoists at Gopiballavpur in ''jangalmahal'' belt ofWest Midnapore district today, a senior police officer saidtoday.
The bullet-riddled body of Parimal Hansda (27), withhead smashed, was discovered from a deserted spot with aposter lying nearby.
The poster said Hansda was given the extremepunishment for being a police informer.
Hansda, a resident of Rehera Ghutu village borderingOrissa, was bodily lifted by the ultras from his residence ataround 9 pm yesterday and the villagers heard gun shots earlythis morning.
His body was spotted shortly afterwards.
Mangal Hansda, the uncle of the deceased, is awell-known JMM leader in the area.
