Couple run over and killed by train
Howrah (WB), Feb 3 (PTI) A middle aged couple fromOrissa, who came here to visit their daughter, was run overand killed by a local train after they fell on the trackswhile trying to board the train, the police said.
Padma Lochan Banerjee (53) and Nandita Banerjee (50)had come from Baleswar to Belur in Howrah district to visittheir married daughter.
The couple was trying to board a train from Belur toHowrah station when the accident occurred, the sources said.
In her effort to get in the train, the woman fell downon the track followed by her husband who tried to rescue her.
The train started moving at that time and before itwas stopped, the couple was dead, the sources said.
