Two more persons die in UP due to cold; toll 132
Lucknow, Jan 16 (PTI) Two more persons died due tocold in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, taking the toll inthe state this winter to 132, officials said here today.
One death each was reported from Hardoi and Deoria dueto cold conditions in the last 24 hours.
According to Met department, rise in mercury level hasgiven some respite to the people from cold wave condition.
Lucknow recorded a maximum temperature of 6 deg C,which was a degree below normal, while Varanasi recorded amaximum of 11 deg C, which was three notches above normal.
Agra, which recorded a minimum of 5 deg C, was thecoldest place in the state.
