Kasab uninterested in Bombay HC hearing?

Ajmal Kasab
Mumbai, Oct 18: The 26/11 Mumbai attacks terrorist, Ajmal Amir Kasab's uninterested disposition during the Bombay High Court's hearing of the arguments on confirmation of the death penalty handed to him has hit the headlines.

The High Court on Monday, Oct 18 begun hearing the arguments on the death sentence awarded to the Pakistani national amid high security.

The hearing is being conducted through video conference so that Kasab, imprisoned in Central Jail, does not have to leave his bomb and bullet proof cell.

Screens were installed at the court as well as at the prison before the hearing began at 11 am.

As per reports, Kasab was seen on the screen yawning, scratching his head, stretching his hands, and playing with the button of his prison uniform.

The terrorist's dismissive and indifferent attitude has come as a surprise especially since he has challenged his conviction and sentence in the High Court.

In his appeal, Kasab states that the firing incident at Chhatrapati Shivaji Railway terminus and Cama hospital were isolated incidents and not related to the 26/11 terror plot.
