32 including four security officials killed in Swat suicide blast
Islamabad, Oct.12 (ANI): At least 32 persons, including four security personnel were killed and 53 others injured in a suicide attack in Shangla District on Monday.
According to sources, the blast occurred when a suicide attacker inside a white van, blew himself up near a police check post in Alpuri tehsil in Shangla.
"Thirty-two people have been killed, 28 of them are civilians and four are security personnel,"said Major Mushtaq Khan, spokesperson of the military run media center in Swat.
Security forces have imposed a curfew in the area and were carrying out intense combing operations in the locality adjacent to the blast site, which houses several important government buildings, The News reports.
Sources said the casualties might rise as many of those injured in the attack were stated to be in a serious condition. (ANI)
