President Patil to visit Gujarat today

New Delhi, Sep 30 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil will pay a five-day visit to Gujarat from Wednesday evening.

Pratibha Patil will arrive at the Ahmedabad airport at 5.00 pm today. After taking the guard of honour at the airport, she will go to Gandhinagar to attend a public welcome organised at the Town Hall there.

She will visit the Sabarmati Ashram on Thursday and will attend a function at the Sardar Patel Memorial in Shahibaug to inaugurate a new hall.

She will also visit Porbandar on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi before going to Sasan Gir- the only home of Asiatic lions in India.

President Patil will visit the wildlife sanctuary at Gir on October 4. On the following day, she is likely to visit Diu, nding her visit to Gujarat by visiting Rajkot in the evening before returning to New Delhi. (ANI)
