Hubby in Britain's longest marriage passes away at 101

London, Sept 2 (ANI): Frank Milford, one half of the longest married living couple in Britain, has died after 81 years of marriage.

Frank Milford, 101, held the hand of his wife Anita, also 101, as he passed away at the residential home where they lived.

The devoted pair met at a YMCA dance in Plymouth in 1926.

Milford and Anita had married in 1928.

The couple always said the secret of their successful marriage was their habit of putting behind little quarrels and always going to bed with a cuddle and a kiss, reports The Daily Express.

Milford's son, also called Frank, said: "She's very upset obviously."

Speaking of his father's health, Frank said he had always been "as sharp as a tack" despite being frail.

Frank and Anita had two children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. (ANI)
