'World's most expensive chocolate' unveiled by Spandau Ballet star

London, Aug 4 (ANI): Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley has launched the "world's most expensive chocolate bar".

The 49-year-old singer delivered the gold leaf-covered special edition of a Wispa Gold bar worth 961.48 pounds to Selfridges.

Hadley was helping to promote the relaunch of the once popular Cadbury's treat following a huge campaign on Facebook, where more than 22,000 people joined the group "Bring back Cadbury's Wispa Gold".

The bar is covered in edible gold leaf and sheathed in a gold leaf wrapper and will be on display for one week in the store's jewellery department. The bar's price is said to be the precise value of its weight in gold.

The chocolate bar went back into production last month and will hit the market at the more reasonable price of 55p in September.

"(Wispa Gold) is a great product that so many fans want to see back on the shelf and the money is going to a really good cause," the Mirror quoted Hadley as saying.

The proceeds from its sale will go to the UK Lowe Syndrome Trust, of which Hadley is patron. (ANI)
