UK cinemagoers use pedal power to screen films

London, August 4 (ANI): Audiences in the UK tried their hand at the country's only cycle-powered cinema in an exclusive daylong film screening.

Cinema-goers turned cyclists to try the pedal-powered cinema system, which uses up to 10 bikes to power 600W of audio-visual equipment for screening films or projections, at Liverpool's FACT.

Partakers hopped on the special bikes and laboured to reach the final credits of a selection of short movies, reports The Telegraph.

They were informed about the power generated by them through an Interactive feedback system.

An ambient light was said to change colours if the energy supply was not enough, meaning people were not pedalling hard enough. (ANI)
