6 charred to death in Alang ship breaking yard blaze

Bhavnagar, Aug. 4 (ANI): Six workers were charred to death in a fire at Alang ship breaking yard here on Tuesday.

According to police, the incident took place when some workers of Alang Auto Company were cutting down the engine portion of ship 'M S Jesica' in the world's largest ship scrapping yard.

The fire officials took almost three hours to douse the blaze.

The exact cause of fire is yet to be ascertained, police said. (ANI)
