UK black council officer awarded 100 K quid
London, Apr. 7 (ANI): A black council officer has won 112,000 pounds compensation for racial discrimination after he was told not to eat lunch with other staff. Rosene Railton, 43, was forced to eat alone, was refused holidays and told she did not 'fit in,' during her eight months at Northumberland County, an employment tribunal heard.
The bullying left Mrs Railton suffering panic attacks and she told the tribunal how she would often cry on her way to work, reports The Telegraph.
Railton worked as an office partnership manager.
"I did not think I was different until I went to Northumberland County Council. It has been emotionally draining, it sucked the life out of me and I'm tired, emotional and always crying," the paper quoted her as telling a tribunal hearing yesterday. (ANI)
