Faisalabad next on terror hit list: Pak IB minister
Lahore, Apr.7 (ANI): Pakistan Information and Broadcasting Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has warned that Faisalabad could be next on terrorist's hit list.
Kaira said there are intelligence reports that the militants are planning to carry out attack in Faisalabad similar to Lahore and Islamabad.
He admitted that the state had no writ in Swat, and that the terrorists had better resources than Pakistan's intelligence agencies in the region.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up, and a red alert has been sounded in Faisalabad following terror threat.
Security agencies have been asked to carry out crackdown against the banned jihadi outfits across the city, and large number of police personnel have been deployed at all entry and exit points of the city, The Daily Times reported. (ANI)
