Multan, Feb. 1 (ANI): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said the dossier of Pakistan's initial probe results of the Mumbai terror attacks will be handed over to India through diplomatic channels.

Qureshi said the move would prove Pakistan's sincerity in its efforts to defeat the commom enemy, 'terrorism'.

Qureshi said that the cooperation between India and Pakistan would be the key to ensure the successful prosecution of the Mumbai attack culprits, The News reported.

He said he has not yet seen the investigation report, adding that the Interior ministry will send it to the Ministry of Law, where it will be examined and then handed over to the Foreign Ministry. This dossier will then be handed over to India and the countries, through diplomatic channels to take the world into confidence.

Qureshi hoped that the Mumbai attack' investigation findings would help in defusing the Indo-Pak tensions.

"Pakistan is seriously investigating the case and intends to take necessary action against the terrorists," he said.

Commenting on Pakistan high Commissioner to Britain Wajid Shamsul Hasan's statement that Pakistan soil was not used to cast terror attacks on Mumbai, Qureshi said, "Wajid issued the statement in haste as no comment can be made on the Mumbai attack probe unless one gets the dossier."

Qureshi also called for the resumption of the composite dialogue with India at the earliest.

"Realistically speaking, India and rest of the countries are looking at us to see what action we take and we are moving forward in the right direction. We will take India and other countries into confidence by sharing the findings of the initial probe," he said. (ANI)
