India wants peace, stability in Nepal: Mukherjee
Kathmandu, Nov 25 (UNI) India today said it wants to see peace and political stability in Nepal and is ready to extend necessary help in this regard.
This was conveyed to former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who is on a a three-day official visit to Nepal.
Mr Koirala admired the role of India in helping Nepal's peace process.
In a meeting with Mr Mukherjee, Mr Koirala said India should have a definite foreign policy towards Nepal.
Mr Koirala also told Mr Mukherjee that the CPN-Maoist leadership was not very keen on either drafting a new constitution or working to give a final shape to the peace process.
