Rupee opens at 50.48 against US dollar

Mumbai, Nov 21: The rupee on Friday, Nov 21 opened at a record low of 50.48 against US dollar, after sliding by 28 paise from its previous close at 50.20, on fresh buying of dollars by foreign banks and others.

The rupee oscillated in a wide range between 49.95 and 50.55 per dollar in the intra-day trade. After resuming low, rupee recovered as state-run banks stepped in to sell dollars.
