Uma urges Advani to intervene in Pragya issue

Bhopal, Nov 18 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Bhartiya Janshakti(BJS) President Uma Bharti today urged senior BJP leader L K Advani to intervene to prevent 'torture' of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, who was detained by Maharashtra ATS in Malegaon blasts case.

''Mr Advani should forthwith take up the matter with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Shivraj Patil as the government cannot neglect the Leader of the Opposition's intervention'', Ms Bharti told reporters here, adding it was 'regrettable' that Mr Advani was yet to take up the matter though his colleagues were vociferously raising it.
