Haryana Corp gives fiscal help to SC families

Chandigarh, Nov 18 (UNI) The Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation had provided a financial assistance of over Rs 24.86 crore to 6691 Scheduled Castes beneficiaries upto October to enable them to start their own ventures in this fiscal year.

While disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Corporation said that out of the total financial assistance given to those belonging to Scheduled Castes, a sum of over Rs 5.70 crore had been given as subsidy. An amount of over Rs 1.56 crore was given as margin money, over Rs 1.37 crore was given as direct loan and over Rs 16.22 crore was made avalibale as bank loan.

The Corporation also recovered an amount of over Rs 1.39 crore during this period, he added.

He said that financial assistance had been given to Scheduled Caste families for setting up dairy, sheep and piggery units, beauty parlour shops, boutiques, cloth shops and for starting legal profession, photography and various other self employment ventures.

Financial assistance had also been provided to them for purchasing camel and bullock carts, light commercial vehicles, cars (taxis), auto rickshaw, tractor-trolley and jeeps to be used as taxis.
