Future Axiom launches 'One Mobile' to reach 58 cities by 2009 end
New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) In a bid to capitalise on the growing mobile retail space Future Axiom, the joint venture between Future Group and Axiom Telecom, today launched its retail brand 'One Mobile' with plans to reach 58 cities by the end of December 2009.
The company also aims to increase its manpower by 400 per cent and employ more than 4,000 people in the said period.
''Subsequent to our recently launched operations, we are on an aggressive growth path. We plan to serve pan-India and operate in more than 58 cities through 1,500 stores and touch points by December 2009,'' company CEO, Ashy Sehgal said in a statement.
''Currently, we employ about 1,200 people and there are plans to double the managerial staff and increase the retail staff strength to 5,000 people by December 2009,'' he added.
The 50:50 joint venture between retail giant, Future Group and Axiom Telecom, West Asia's mobile retail company involves an initial investment of about 40 million dollars.
