EC announces by-election schedule for AP Legislative Council

New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) The Election Commission has announced the election schedule for holding the bypolls to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates' constituency, for which the poll if necessary, will be held on December 15.

As per the election schedule, the notification for the same will be issued on November 21, last date of making nominations is fixed for November 28 and the scrutiny of nominations will be taken up on November 29.

The last date for withdrawal of candidatures is December 1.

The counting of votes will be taken up on December 18 and the entire poll process will be completed on December 20.

According to the EC notification issued late evening here yesterday, the seat was held by R Satyanarayana (Journalist) which fell vacant as he resigned from the seat on March 8 this year before the expiration of his term of office, which was upto March 29, 2013.
