BJP doles out sops for mediamen in manifesto
New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) In a bid to woo the media, the BJP today promised a few sops for mediapersons including a separate club and quota fixed for them to get government accomodation, if it comes to power.
Releasing the party manifesto, BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate in Delhi, V K Malhotra said an independent media is an important part of democracy and should be given facilities.
He said a separate Indraprastha Club and modern media centre will be constructed for Delhi media persons and promised to simplify the policy to grant accredition to journalists.
A quota for journalists would be fixed in the allotment of government houses, he added.
