550 more pilgrims from AP to visit Haj this year: Minister
Hyderabad, Nov 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Energy, Coal and Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir today said as many as 7,008 Haj pilgrims out of 7,208 quota from the state had already left for Haj while the remaining 200 would leave tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference here, he said 550 pilgrims, in addition to the normal quota of 7208, would leave for Haj on November 21, 22 and 23, bringing the total Haj pilgrims from the state to 7,758.
He said, of the 27 flights, the pilgims left by 22 Saudi flights and five Air India flights.
The state government had sanctioned Rs 70 lakh for the pilgrims, he added.
