2220 enter the fray in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 17 (UNI) A total of 2220 contestants including Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje (Jhalrapatan), Congress State President CP Joshi (Nathdwara), Scion of Bharatpur royal family Jat leader Vishwendra Singh(Congress-Deeg-Kumher), Meena strongman Mr Kirodi Lal Meena(Ind-Todabhim) today entered the fray for December 4 assembly polls even as the last date for nominations passed off this afternoon.
With this, a total of 3,190 contestants have so far filed candidature in 200 constituencies in the state since the opening of the process of filing of nomination on November 10.
The scrutiny will be done tomorrow and withdrawals can be made by November 20. Polling in all the 200 constituencies will be held on December 4 and counting of votes will be done on December 8, an Election Office spokesman said.
