16 of marriage party killed in UP road mishap

Muzaffarnagar/Lucknow, Nov 18 (UNI) At least 16 members of a marriage party were killed and 31 others injured when their bus collided with a truck late last night.

The marriage party was returning from Panipat, when the mishap took place between Lalukheri and Budrana in Babri area. The collision was so severe that 14 people died on the spot. Two others succumbed later in the hospital, reports from state Director General of Police office stated today.

Six people, who were stated critical, have been sent to Delhi and Meerut for treatment.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortems.
