Brahmavar town students win Rural IT Quiz

Bangalore, Nov 7 (UNI) Prashanth Pai and Snehith Periera, students of SMS PU College in Brahmavar town in Dakshina Kannada district, today won the Rural IT Quiz organised as part of ICT event BangaloreIT.biz.

The final of the quiz in which more than 12 lakh students took part was held in different phases in all parts of the state. It was organised by the state government in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services.

The event, organised for the ninth consecutive year, was conducted for students of eight to 12th standard.

Devarth N D and Surya V of MKET PU College of Harihar finished first runnerup, while Kashinath Handiganur and Manjunath Malipatil of Vidyabharati High School of Talikot finished second runnerup.
