Terrorism increasing due to misuse of intelligence agencies
Jamshedpur, Nov 2 (UNI) The Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth, Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati today said the intelligence agencies have been misused for political purpose, which has led their failure to tackle terrorism in the country.
'' The intelligence agencies have been used for political purpose. These agencies have been used to spy on political and organisational rivals,'' Swami Saraswati told reporters here.
He added that '' The trend of using these agencies for political work is the main reason behind their failure in collecting crucial information on terrorist activities. The agencies are also not sharing information with each others.'' While answering a question, Swami Saraswati said it is wrong to connect terrorism with any religion. He also criticised the government's efforts to ban Hindu organisations for their alleged involvement in terrorist activities.
'' There is no place of such activities in any religion. The intellectuals of every religion have criticised terrorism as it is not the sollution of any issue,'' he maintained.
