11 killed in two separate road mishaps in Karnataka
Bangalore, Nov 3 (UNI) Eleven people were killed in two major road accidents in Karnataka during the last 24 hours.
Police said in the first incident, six people were killed when a Esteem car rammed into a truck at Doddaguni in Tumkur district about 70 km from here today.
While three died on the spot there others breathed their last in a hospital.
They were said to be the employees of the telecom major Airtel and were going to Gubbi to attend a colleague's wedding. The dead were identified as Girish (25), Ramesh (26), Lokesh (24), Mahesh (25) Harsha (26) and Jagdish (28).
In the other accident occurred near Panambur Beach cross near Mangalore, five persons were killed when their Indica car collided with a private bus on the national highway early today.
The travelers of the ill fated car were returning to Mangalore after a trip to Goa. While three were killed on the spot the other two died on the way to hospital.
They were identified as Sheikh Sameer, Vikram Prabhu, Prem Kumar, Anwar and Leonel.
