One and a half year old child molested in Punjab

Kapurthala, Oct 4 (UNI) In a bizarre incident, a one and half year old female child of a migrant labourer was allegedly raped and left to die in the cremation grounds here.

According the police, the child was taken away from her 'jhuggi' on Circular Road in the town by an unknown man on Friday evening.

The infants father while searching for the child found her this morning lying at the cremation grounds.

The father immediately rushed the profusely bleeding child to a hospital here and then informed the police. The child is under treament at the hospital.

The police has registered a case and begun investigations. No arrests have been made so far.
