Monsoon active over interior Karnataka
Bangalore, Oct 4: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Monsoon was active over Interior Karnataka and weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at many places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rainfallamounts(cm): Holalkere 12, Bharamasagara 8.
Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Haveri, Ranebennur, Shahapur, Shivani, Kadur, Hessarghatta, Channapatna, Srirampura 5 each, Shorapur, Ron, Hosadurga, Hiriyur, Panchanahalli, Chamarajanagar, Nelamanagala 4 each, Yeragatti, Gadag, Nalwatwad, Jeewargi, Jalihal, Chikmagalur, Alur, Chintamani, Kanakapura, Ramagiri 3 each, Mudhol, Biligi, Shirahatti, B.Bagewadi, Muddebihal, Talikote, Deodurg, Bailhongal, Athani, Kundagol, Hangal, Ajjampura, Doddaballapura, Ramanagara, C.N.Halli, Tiptur, Sira 2 each.
Maximum temperature were fell at many places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka. Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of34.4 deg Cel over the State.
Minimum temperatures appreciably fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, however rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka.
They were above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and normal over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
Belgaum Airport recorded lowest mininmum temperature of 20.1 deg Celsius over the State.
