3 killed in road accidents, 3 hurt
Tiruchiraplli, Sep 29 (UNI) Three people have died and an equal number seriously injured in two separate accidents, near here.
Police said Kumaresan (35), a printing press owner, died on the spot when the lorry in which he was travelling rammed into the rear side of a stationary lorry at P K Agaram Village on the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai National Highway, near here, yesterday.
The three injured people were admitted to a private hosptial here.
In another incident, two people on a motorcycle were killed when a State Transport Corporation bus ran over them at Kollidam Checkpost, near here, late last night.
Both, Chellakannu (28) and his friend Jyothi Prasad (28), died on the spot, police said adding that the bus driver surrendered.
