Indo-US nuclear deal debated in House of Representatives
New York, Sep 27 (UNI) The US House of Representatives again debated the Indo-US nuclear deal, but postponed voting as it could not arrive at a decision.
The Bill will be taken up for discussion again.
In all, 18 speakers spoke yesterday with some members opposing the deal, saying it would encourage nations like Iran, Pakistan and North Korea to flout non-proliferation regime Some other speakers, who were in favour of the deal, said it should be approved keeping in view India's impeccable nuclear record, its energy requirements and growing Indo-US cooperations.
