VHP Central Governing body meets to focus on conversions

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) The Vishwa Hindu Parishad's central governing body will begin a two-day conclave from tomorrow to deliberate on such issues as increasing cases of religious conversions and the Amarnath yatra.

If the body passes a resolution, the organisation might decide to spread the anti-conversion movement throughout the country, a VHP spokesman said.

The meeting would be attended by hundreds of prominent saints of the country and abroad, including Jagadguru Sankaracharyas, madhavacharyas, heads of other sects of Hindus.

The spokesman said other issues like 'gau raksha'(cow protection), 'Ganga raksha' (Save Ganga), Shree Ramsetu, Shri Ramjanmabhoomi and government acquisition of temples might also be the focus of attention of the meeting.
