Wartsila embards on its PLM Journey with Infosys Technologies
Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) Infosys Technologies Limited today announced that it has been selected by Wartsila as the services partner to enable the company's multi-year transformation of its product innovation and lifecycle management.
Under the agreement, Infosys would deliver consulting and implementation services to Wartsila so it may migrate to a global Product Lifycycle Management (PLM) system to improve the speed, quality and innovation delivered to its customers, according to a release from Infosys here.
In response to varying global market demands, Wartsila, which provides power slutions to ship manufacturers and power plants around the world, launched a Product Data Management (PDM) initiative to gain greater harmonization in its engineering design and production processes.
