Mah: 3 employees booked for student's suicide
Nagpur, Sep 16: Three employees of a local school were booked for a student's suicide, allegedly due to harassment, police said today.
According to police, an offence of abetment to suicide was registered against Rajlaxmi Swami, the Principal of the school, Shashibala Dhotekar, the Head Mistress, and a physical training (PT) instructor, identified only as Arthur. They allegedly threatened to rusticate Pritish Bhagwan Balpande (16), a student of the school, on disciplinary grounds, they said.
Unable to bear the mental torture, Pritish ended his life by jumping off the roof of the school building here last week, police said.
On the basis of a complaint from the boy's father, an offence was registered under sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), they added.
